SITRA JOINED THE MILLENNIUM PRIZE FOUNDATION
The Finnish National Fund for Research and Development (Sitra)became a new member of the Millennium Prize Foundation. At the same time Sitra’s innovation programme's Executive Director, Mr Antti Hautamäki was appointed to the board of directors and Research Director, Mr Timo Hämäläinen to the foundation’s communication and programme committees.
Other members of the Millennium Prize Foundation are Academy of Finland, Confederation of Finnish Industries – EK, Finnish Academies of Technology – FACTE, Finnish Academy of Technology – TTA, Finnish Association of Graduate Engineers – TEK, Foundation of Technology – TES, Foundation for Finnish Inventions, National Technology Agency of Finland – TEKES, Swedish Academy of Engineering in Finland – STV, Technology Industries of Finland and Walter Ahlström Foundation.
With a Board of Directors chaired by one of Finland’s leading industry figures, Dr Jaakko Ihamuotila, the foundation hopes to play an active role in the international innovation system.
