EVENT CALENDAR - 2006 MILLENNIUM TECHNOLOGY PRIZE - ANNOUNCEMENT AND AWARD CEREMONY
The winner of the 2006 Millennium Technology Prize, the world’s biggest technology award, will be announced in June 15 in Helsinki. The award ceremony will be organized in association with an ECOFIN meeting in September.
The prize of one million euros is awarded every second year by the Millennium Prize Foundation, an independent fund established by Finnish industry and the Finnish state in partnership.

23 – 30 March 2006, Selection Committee meeting
The International Selection Committee convenes in Finland. In a series of meetings over a period of seven days, the eight members of the committee decide on their recommendation for the 2006 Millennium Technology Prize. More than 100 nominations in all fields of technology have been received from 32 countries.
