MILLENNIUM TECHNOLOGY EVENT IN WASHINGTON - OCTOBER 8, 2009
In cooperation with the Embassy of Finland, the Technology Academy is arranging 
Next Decade Technologies Changing the World, a technology event in Washington.
For the first time, all three Millennium Technology Prize Winners: Tim Berners-Lee, Shuji Nakamura and Robert Langer will participate at the same time in a symposium panel discussion. The moderator will be Steve Lohr from The New York Times.
Other speakers at the event include Dr. Rita Colwell, Director of the National Science Foundation 1998-2004 and Dr. Charles M. Vest, former president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Ambassador Pekka Lintu and Stig Gustavson, Chairman of the Technology Academy, will host the event.
