THE PRESIDENTS OF GERMANY AND SWITZERLAND VISITED PROFESSOR GRÄTZEL’S LABORATORY
The President of the German Federal Republic Christian Wulff and the President of the Swiss confederation Doris Leuthard visited the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) on 9 September 2010. During the visit, Professor Michael Grätzel, winner of the 2010 Millennium Technology Grand Prize, demonstrated his research on dye-sensitised solar cells to the dignified guests.
The Presidents received plastic solar cell powered bags, which are good examples of the consumer products developed from Grätzel’s innovation.
