ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE 2010 MILLENNIUM TECHNOLOGY PRIZE LAUREATES – WATCH THE VIDEO!
The 2010 Millennium Technology Prize Laureates were announced in Helsinki, Finland, on Wednesday 14 April 2010. The English-language event was hosted by the Chairman of the Board of Technology Academy Finland, Dr Stig Gustavson.
The Chairman of the International Selection Committee of the Millennium Technology Prize, Professor Risto Nieminen, elaborated on the selection criteria of the Laureates.
The 2010 Millennium Technology Prize Laureates are Professor Sir Richard Friend from the University of Cambridge, UK, Professor Stephen Furber from the University of Manchester, UK, and Professor Michael Grätzel from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.
