Largest technology prize in the world to be awarded in Finland in June 2004 The largest technology prize in the world, the Millennium Technology Prize, amounting to one million Euros, is to be awarded on 15 June 2004. The prize is awarded to an individual, a group of individuals, or a research team, as acknowledgement for technology-based innovation with far-reaching impact promoting the quality of life, humane social values or economic development.
